Ben is officially a Kindergartner!! Today was the big day. We woke up at 6:30am and surprisingly enough I didn't get a lot of pushback from him which was great. He had an Ego for breakfast and then got dressed. He was excited to wear his new shoes that I went to go and do my hair and when I came back out, he was putting his shoes on all by himself!! We took some silly pictures at home before we left to go to school. We dropped Sedona off at daycare first where Ben says "I don't want to go to daycare Mommy I wanna go to school" Cute, cute, cute. Then as Mike is taking Sedona in the house Ben says "I am gonna miss Sedona Mom" He's such a sweet little boy. So Sedona's at daycare and we are off to the school. Ben was excited. He really wanted to play on the playground. I thought that might be a problem where he wouldn't want to go in the classroom but he was fine. We went into the classroom and found his seat--right by the teacher's desk and closest to the door for recess--perfect!! He put his backpack outside his classroom door and off he went to play. We watched him play for a little bit and then I asked for a hug. Well I bent down and ended up on my butt because he had to much energy and I wasn't expecting it. I heard a few snickers from some parents behind me, but it was all good. So Miss Loose blew the whistle so the kids lined up next to their backpacks and then Mike and I said Good-bye. Ben was fine. I think Mike and I were the ones that were a little emotional. So he listened and waited patiently until it was his turn to go into the classroom.
My little first born baby isn't so little anymore. Mike and I both shed a few tears. I will be picking him up today--I am excited to see how his first day went!!

ok I even got a little emotional. Make sure to post how his first day went. You'll be amazed at how different he'll be at the end of his first school year. Bailey was a completely different kid. So much more independent.
I will--I pick him back up in 3 hours and can't wait to see how his first day was! I think kindergarten will be good for Ben. He's a smart little cookie when he wants to be :)
