Close Call!!

Yikes is all I can say. It was my day off of work today since I have to work on Saturday. Mike called around 9:30a to tell me that Sedona lost her balance at daycare and hit a table on the way down and they think she might need stitches. Oh my goodness was all I was thinking. So I jumped in the shower and waited for him to come home and we went and got her together. I called around to a few Urgent Cares in the area to see if any of them did stitches. I found an Urgent Care in Florence that just opened a few months ago that would do them if needed. Yipeee -- they took my insurance and they weren't very far away. We picked Sedona up and they managed to get the bleeding to stop and had a band-aid over it.

When we got to Urgent Care, there was one other person there so we didn't have to wait but maybe 5 minutes. Her temperature was 97 which was good and she still weighs about 24 pounds. The nurse took us back to a room and took the band-aid off--this was the first time that Mike and I would actually see the cut and it was kind of scary looking. The doctor came in and said it was a clean cut and that since the bleeding had stopped, she wouldn't need stitches--thank goodness. He put some liquid stuff on it and then put the white strips on it w/the band-aid over it. Sedona didn't like this because we had to hold her arms and she was just not having it. We brought her favorite monkey Curious George that Grandma Slusar sent to her and when all was said and done, she was fine.

We went to lunch at A & M Italian Cusine where she chowed on a big slice of cheese pizza. Mike is now outside putting the x-mas lights on the house so more pics will be coming soon.....

Sedona's 1st major Boo-Boo (this was taken w/my cell phone so it's not the best)

All bandaged up............
Her eyes are just so big, blue and beautiful!

Poor mom and dad! I think Noah was almost 2.5 when he fell in the shower and busted his eye, and Hanna did this too in the very same spot as Noah about 2 months ago by running down the hall. I hope it doesn't leave a scar, but they build character. In that second picture she looks like Ben.

Aw, baby girl! The good news is that she's still a complete doll even with a swollen cut eye. Bailey fell into a shelf thing just before she turned one and had a huge black eye at her 1st birthday party. :-/

Shawn,
I thought of you tonight! Do you celebrate St. Nick's with your kiddos? Most people don't here in AZ as you probably know. Keep the Wisconsin tradition going girl! It's tonight!
