Sedona's Surgery!

Today was a scary day for Mom. Sedona had to have outpatient surgery to get her tongue clipped. She was put under for a little bit, but she did very well. We had a rough night. She woke up at 12am and didn't go back to sleep 'til 3:30am and I had to be up an hour later so I was dead tired. We arrived to Banner Desert Surgery Center around 6ish--45 minutes early. I guess I just don't like to be late (it helped traffic was super good as well.) We checked in and shortly after we got matching "bracelets". Sedona wasn't to fond of hers, she just wanted to take it off or stick it in her mouth. We then were called back to go to Pre-Op. Her surgery was scheduled for 7:45a, however the doctor was running behind so we were an hour behind. Her surgery was at 8:45a. They took her back and mom was a little teary eyed. It's a scary feeling not knowing what might happen. I went to go and wait in the waiting room and the Doctor came out about 15 min later to tell me it went well and everything was good. She went under with no problem and decided to sleep a little bit before waking up from the anesthesia--imagine that. They came and got me right away when she woke up because she was crying not knowing who the person was holding her. I gave her a big hug and kiss and then all was well. We got out to the car and she was eating crackers and drinking her sippy cup like nothing had happened. She is quite a little trooper. Once we got home, we both went and took a nap. She is fine and playing like her normal little self. This makes me very very happy!!

Oh, poor Sedona. My B had to be put out a couple times too. Kids are so resilient though, aren't they? I bet its so past her now. Good job staying strong Momma!
