We had a lot of fun today at Boo at the Zoo. Even though we are at the end of October, our temps were still 90 + degrees today. I had to buy the kids bucket hats, because I forgot to bring the ones they already have. We started off at Stingray Bay where we were able to "pet" the Stingray's. You had to put your hand in the water and wait for them to come to you. This was kind of challenging especially for Ben since he doesn't have a long arm, he wasn't able to put his hand down in the water really far, but he managed. After that we watched the Mascot Parade. Next we headed to go see the Horses from around the world. We were there for about 15 minutes when we had to leave since the kids were impatient. Next to the fun kiddie stuff. Ben and Sedona played in the Pumpkin Patch. Ben played Connect Four and Sedona played at the Fisher-Price booth. Ben got to feed an elephant a carrot which required him to throw the carrot down to the elephant. The first time didn't go so well, however, the workers gave him the carrot back and Mike put him on his shoulders and he just barely made it the second time, but it worked!! The highlight of the day was watching the Tortoises eat the Pumpkins. Ben waited all day to see it.
On the way home we stopped at Culver's to get some good ol' custard. Culver's is a fast food restaurant back home in WI. They have good butter burgers and good custard. Sedona shared a vanilla cone w/Daddy and Ben had a single scoop of Chocolate. I had a Turtle sundae--Yum, Yum, Yum. When we got in the car we called Grandma Slusar and all sung her "Happy Birthday!' She turned 60 today. :)
I am hoping to carve the Pumpkins tomorrow which of course means more pics to come!!
Waiting to "pet" the Stingray's!

Still Waiting!

Crabs Anyone?

Scary Stingray!
